Dance, Pilates and Movement are my life passion and a dream come true. Throughout my childhood, elementary and high school I attended various dance classes but there was another feeling to it – I already knew I prefer to stay behind the stage!

At the beginning of the study at Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU), I became acquainted with Pilates and Dance Medicine concepts – this was it! For several years now I have worked as Pilates instructor not only teaching students but also training other instructors, and have done number of choreographies.

I do what I love.

Dance Medicine

Dance science is the scientific study of dance and dancers, as well as the practical application of scientific principles to dance. Its aims are the enhancement of performance, the reduction of injury, and the improvement of well-being and health.

Typically, the subject areas within dance science are similar to those studied in "sports science", though naturally with a focus on dance and the special considerations that this involves. They include: physiology, anatomy, kinesiology, psychology, biomechanics, nutrition, and similar. Contrary to sports science, however, dance science sometimes also studies related topics such as creativity and somatic techniques, including the practices of Pilates, yoga, Alexander technique, Feldenkrais method, Franklin Method etc.

Definition of Dance Medicine and Science provided by the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (www.iadms.org)

Choreography

In short, we can call choreography:  movement in time and space.

For me as a choreographer is very important:
- Use the body ability/ possibility of dancers,
- Work with music,
- Work with the space,
- Working with emotions, feelings,
- Nice atmosphere during rehearsals,

I love to be in the backstage!
